The trailer for the all-female helmed horror anthology XX has arrived, giving us our first extended look at the film’s four dark and twisted tales.

This collection of girl-powered gore not only assembles fierce female-directed short stories, but each story also features a woman in the leading role.

Award-winning animator and writer Sofia Carrillo (La Casa Triste) creates a framing sequence to weave together the four tales of terror: The Box, starring Natalie Brown and directed by Jovanka Vuckovic, Her Only Living Son, starring Christina Kirk and directed by Karyn Kusama, Birthday Party, starring Melanie Lynskey and directed by Annie Clark, and Don’t Fall, starring Breeda Wool and directed by Roxanne Benjamin.

Check out the chilling trailer below and get ready to sleep with the lights on.
