As some of you will already know, 2013 is Kal-El's 75th anniversary. It's a big one, and DC and Warner Bros. will be celebrating in style. Not only is 's Man of Steel set to fly into theaters on June 14th, but this logo just been launched alongisde the announcement that Snyder is working on a two-minute animated Superman movie.
Apart from collaborators , and Mike Carlin, Snyder is teaming up with , the guy behind television's Justice League and Batman Beyond. The duo are keeping details of the short close to their chests right now, but here's what [The Hollywood Reporter](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/superman-zack-snyder-short-new-559978?utmsource=feedburner&utmmedium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+thr%2Fnews+(The+Hollywood+Reporter+-+Top+Stories)'s insider sources say:
Details for the short are being kept secret (maybe in a lead vault?), but insiders tell Heat Vision Snyder envisioned one continuous shot, without edits, that's an homage to the Man of Steel and his many iterations over the past 75 years: Max Fleischer's cartoons, on-screen portrayals by and , iconic versions drawn by artists Wayne Boring, Curt Swan and Neal Adams, on up through 's interpretation in Man of Steel.
To me, two minutes seems more like a commercial than a short. But this sounds like it could end up being pretty cool tribute. Apparently, a rough version of the short will be shown at this year's Comic-Con. After that, I might guess that the Man of Steel Blu-ray and DVD is a likely home for it...
