To avoid fainting, keep repeating 'It's only a movie...It's only a movie...'

A wise Swedish supergroup once said people need hope, people need lovin' and, 30 years after saying "So Long," ABBA is reforming to let the music speak once more.

Will the ABBA reunion be as good as new — just like it used to be and even better? Well, that responsibility falls to Spice Girls guru Simon Fuller, and if anyone knows the name of the game it's this guy.

"The creativity and ideas flowing from the members of ABBA over the past few months have filled me with great excitement.

We are exploring a new technological world, with virtual reality and artificial intelligence at the forefront, that will allow us to create new forms of entertainment and content we couldn't have previously imagined."

Hmmm. Is this a beautiful chance to reunite ABBA and fill the hole in your soul left by their lovely Scandinavian rock 'N' roll band, or is it a cynical grab for money, money, money? Is anyone else imagining a kind of ABBA-themed Westworld after reading that description? It'd be cool to be so near them and not just hear them, but I'm not exactly head over heels about anything gimmicky.

Reforming a much-loved supergroup isn't easy (but it sure is hard enough) and it's great to hear that Benny Andersson is stoked for the project:

"We're inspired by the limitless possibilities of what the future holds, and are loving being a part of creating something new and dramatic here. A time machine that captures the essence of who we were. And are."

If your feelings are driving you wild, go watch ABBA: The Movie, which is legit amazing (if you love ABBA) and features many of their utter bangers that never fail to rock me.

When all is said and done, our love for ABBA will go on and on and on. La question c'est voulez-vous?

Are you excited to see the 'Super Trouper' back together?
