I just really love movies of every kind...

Because opinions are currently flinging around the internet like feces in a monkey cage, I thought: What that hell, why not put in my own two cents? Is it big news at the moment that is rumored to be in the running for the role of Poison Ivy in the 's most recently announced Gotham City Sirens movie? It would be the first ever live-action film to feature Harley Quinn, Selina "Catwoman" Kyle and the ravishing redhead, Dr. Pamela "Poison Ivy" Isley all on screen together.

With other cast members including Ben Affleck, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons sure to be involved — and with Margot Robbie already heading the line-up — it will obviously draw a pretty big crowd. However, the general consensus among fans of the films and even casual cinemagoers seem to be in agreement on only one thing right now: Megan Fox is not the right choice.

In my opinion, she does come across as very bland and doesn't bring a lot in the way of talent to the table. With behind the project it's likely that, like , the script and editing could again be shaky and amateur. I'm willing to give the man a second chance so long as he doesn't cast terrible actors as my favorite DC femme fatales.

So here I have compiled a list of 11 actresses FAR better suited for this highly regarded character who we all want to see done right on the big screen. We do NOT want a repeat of Uma Thurman:

So, without further ado, and in no particular order:

11. Bryce Dallas Howard

The beautiful daughter of renowned director Ron "Happy Days" Howard has come a long way in her career; she's played a great range of different characters and proven herself to be an extremely talented and highly capable actress.

She already has experience in the world of super movies, having been a part of the less than successful Spider-Man 3. Before Emma Stone took the role alongside Andrew Garfield's Spidey, Bryce played Gwen Stacy with Toby Maguire.

10. Kate Mara

Megan Fox already stole a role from this girl (April O'Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) that I still believe she should replace if they continue the franchise. This is another role I would much prefer to see the naturally redheaded beauty by the name of Kate Mara play instead of Megan Fox.

Again, this actress also had a part is a hugely unsuccessful Marvel/Sony movie like Bryce and deserves a second chance to show off her potential as an actress. She is good and needs to be allowed to redeem herself for that Fantastic Four reboot (not that it was her fault).

Now, next I'm going to list the three I've selected who each happen to be age 29. I think this is a very appropriate age for Ivy. I'd like her to be slightly older and more mature than Harley, as is the usual nature of their characters' dynamic.

9. Evan Rachel Wood

You only really need to see one movie to show that this woman is a damn talented actress and that film is Across the Universe. She's been around a long time and starred in many other things — Sim0ne, Thirteen, The Wrestler — and I'm hearing great things about her from Westworld fans. I haven't watched it myself but I trust she's the sort of girl who can play a badass just as easily as she can a sweetheart.

8. Rose Leslie

This actress is another I haven't seen quite as much of as I'd like to. I've only watched as far as Season 3 in Game of Thrones so I have no idea whether she's even still alive on the show at this point, but either way, she's a gorgeous actress (and if I'm being 100 percent honest) I'd like to see her and Margot Robbie get it on.

7. Sarah Snook

This natural ginger beauty straight out of Adelaide has come very far over the last few years. She's had several starring roles in big name productions such as Predestination and The Dressmaker and she has real depth and range as an actress. She deserves a chance to show off her full set of skills, and Poison Ivy would be spot on for that.

I'd also like to point out (as you've probably noticed already) that most of my selections for this list are natural redheads. But that's about to change (for the next one at least).

6. Natalie Dormer

As I said, Dormer is not a natural redhead but she is an exceptional actress and an incredible human being. What can I even say about this angelic lady? Her smile would work really awesomely for playing a part like Ivy, who is usually seen wearing a smirk (and little else if we're lucky). She clearly has what it takes to play a seductress and she has the capability to play a cruel bitch as well (I bet).

5. Emma Stone

Yes, I mentioned her earlier. Another natural red and former girlfriend of Spider-Man could make just as good a future girlfriend for Harley Quinn. This has been a pretty popular fan-cast that I've seen a lot of people suggesting, and I cannot say I disagree. Though I would prefer to see Emma Stone as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, she would make a sexy temptress as Poison Ivy and she'd make a great addition to the cast lineup of the DCEU, as either a hero or a villain.

4. Lindsay Lohan

Now this isn't going to be a popular option for a lot of people but hear me out. Recently, Lindsay has been looking for a role to get her back into the game, and while The Little Mermaid really doesn't seem like the right fit for a girl like her, Poison Ivy, kinda does.

Think about it: Firstly, she needs to be bad. Lohan has the part covered, naturally. Secondly, Ivy in some ways sorta looks — dead. Like pale, sickly green and it wouldn't require a whole lot of time wasted in makeup chairs to make Lindsay look that way. Lastly, we must remember, there was a time when this girl was a really good actress; she could be given another chance to really invest herself into something like this kind of character.

3. Lauren Ambrose

Highly recognized for her part as Claire Fisher of Six Feet Under and teen comedy flicks such as Can't Hardly Wait and Psycho Beach Party, Lauren Ambrose makes my top three because, well, she's terrific. I've fallen in love with everything I've seen her in. I believe she has just the right stuff to play Ivy as both viscous and fierce yet vulnerable and loving in her relationship with Harley.

2. Milla Jovovich

Milla is most well known for starring as Alice in the Resident Evil franchise and Leeloo in The Fifth Element. You may also recognize her from Dazed & Confused. Let's just assume she has range — because she does — and she's a fine looking woman. As I said earlier, I think Ivy needs to be older than Harley and be someone that Quinn sorta looks up to, admires, and eventually loves. The 41-year-old Jovovich would be an exquisite choice to be that Mother Nature figure in the film.

Last, but most certainly not least, my personal favorite for the role:

1. Christina Hendricks

This hardly needs explanation, does it? I'm telling you — she could very easily tap into the character of Poison Ivy and sell it like a boss. For proof of her work, check out the Firefly episodes "Our Mrs. Reynolds" and "Trash." If her performance as Saffron doesn't convince you that she'd be an epic Poison Ivy, I don't know what will.

That concludes the list. Hope you enjoyed reading, I kinda enjoyed writing. Leave your thoughts, comments, and feedback below.
