With Thor: The Dark World to premiere on November 8th, Marvel fans are all revved up for whatever the Company wishes to heap on them. Now we have a great piece of news for all viewers of the debut ABC show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: there will be a narrative crossover between the TV series and the Thor sequel!
Yeah, that's right: on November 19th, an Agents episode is set to air with the title 'The Well,' and what we hear from the description is really, really promising:
In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel's 'Thor: The Dark World,' Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces — one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.
Will the God of Thunder show up himself? Unlikely, but the fact that there'll be at least some narrative continuity between all the chess pieces in Marvel's Phase Two is what fans have been expecting and clamoring for decades.
The Well's script was penned by Monica Owusu-Breen and directed by . Guest stars for this episode include as Professor Elliot Randolph, as Jakob Nystrom, as Petra Larsen, Toby Wilson as Neils, as Maynard and Sylvia Brindis as Elena.
What do you think? Is this what the show needed to revive its credentials and shore up its core fan base with these in-universe crossovers? Would you like to see more references to the MCU (i.e. other Avengers)? Will the episode itself ultimately be a letdown? As always, give us a piece of your mind in the comments section below.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays on ABC at 8 PM (EST).
