This article contains spoilers for Season 4, Episode 18 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s "Agent of Hydra" arc has delivered some of its best episodes so far, and last night's episode was no different. As well as the usual delights and thrills we've come to expect from the final arc of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4, Episode 18 also brought a fan-favorite character back from the dead.

Our beloved agents are currently stuck inside the Framework, and are fighting to get back to the real world. In the very first episode inside the Framework, we got to see Brett Dalton return to the fold to reprise his role as Grant Ward. Now, the show has brought back another deceased character: Antoine "Trip" Triplett, played by B.J. Britt.

The same incident that saw Skye/Daisy become an Inhuman in Season 2 also saw Trip die. Is it just a coincidence that Trip made a comeback on the show after more than two years in an episode in which Daisy again became an Inhuman inside the Framework? It's more than likely that this neat parallel was an intentional move on the writers' part.

B.J. Britt is absolutely loving his return on the show — as shown by the adorable video below. Britt has been going around the set of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., sticking notes that read "" onto every available surface.

Who Else Could We See Thanks To The Framework?

The Framework has already brought two beloved characters back to the show — and there could be more to come. Since it doesn't affect the real world of the , it is possible to bring any character on the show without affecting the tightly guarded MCU continuity. This opens the door to some fascinating cameos — here are a few that would love to see.

Lincoln Campbell

Lincoln is probably the most likely candidate on the list. In the last episode, Madame Hydra told Daisy that she could give her Lincoln Campbell. Madame could use Lincoln Campbell as a weapon to stop Daisy from leaving the Framework.

Bobbi Morse & Lance Hunter

Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter left the show in Season 3 to star in their own spinoff show Marvel's Most Wanted, but it did not get picked up for a series. They haven't appeared on the show since then, and the Framework would be an ideal way to bring them back.

Nick Fury & Maria Hill

Nick Fury and Maria Hill have appeared a few times on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. However, after leaving S.H.I.E.L.D., their appearances on the show have been limited. We are long overdue for another Samuel L. Jackson appearance as Nick Fury, and the framework would be an ideal way of involving Fury in S.H.I.E.L.D. business. Cobie Smulders making an appearance as Maria Hill is more likely because she has done a lot of TV over the years, and bringing her on board would be easier than Samuel L. Jackson.

An Avenger?

This probably won't happen due to the fact that most of the Avengers are played by A-list actors who are very busy. But then again, Samuel L. Jackson is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, and he has managed to appear on the show a few times. As mentioned earlier, an appearance from any of the Avengers inside the Framework on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would have zero effect on the MCU.

The Framework has already brought back two characters to the show and can bring back a lot more characters from previous seasons. Not utilizing this weapon to its fullest would be a missed opportunity for the show.
