The moment that American Horror Story fans have waited for is here: our first look at the official seventh season of the horror anthology. Cult has been teasing viewers for weeks with teaser footage and mysterious social media posts — but in true AHS fashion, the meaning behind the hints were a tad confusing.

For the season's sixth week of teasers, the official website posted the first trailer, which begins on Election Night 2016 in Michigan. Watch it below:

The trailer begins with two outbursts of emotions from and 's characters regarding the election results. Paulson, who plays Ally Mayfair-Richards, has been struggling with multiple phobias that have been getting worse since the election, as she explains to Dr. Vincent (Cheyenne Jackson). Her agoraphobia and fear of clowns seem to be deeply affecting her wife Ivy (Alison Pill) and their son. At one point we even see Ally chased by clowns in a supermarket.

The footage looks to be in line with the synopsis that recently leaked, revealing Ally's trypophobia and hemophobia, which could explain the creepy usage of bees and blood.

Besides the terrifying usage of clowns, we get more insight into the relationship between Kai and Winter Anderson (Evan Peters and Billie Lourd). The duo look to be up to something involving Ally and Ivy's son. There is no indication whether the Mayfair-Richards family are members of Kai's cult or if they are being targeted for some unknown reason. fans will be happy with the focus on clowns and Twisty after his stint on Freak Show was so short.

The season will also feature Colton Haynes, Billy Eichner, Lena Dunham, Chaz Bono and the return of Emma Roberts, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Frances Conroy and Mare Winningham.

Prior to the trailer, there is a short segment featuring as her character Winter Anderson. The haunting video looks like some sort of recruitment for the cult — and yes, Winter Anderson, we are scared!
