Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (21 Grams and Babel) is in early talks to direct The Jungle Book for Warner Bros; a source close to the project has told TheWrap.

Disney’s 1967 animated adaptation was the last film to be produced by Walt Disney, who died during its production.
It will be incredibly intriguing to see how this treasured tale will be resurrected for 21st century kids. To me this is a story that could never tire, so lets hope manages to retain some of that original Kipling magic.
