Pop quiz time! If Earth were to come under an alien attack right now and you could pick any character from any movie to team up with and have them kick alien butt like they do in the movies, who would you choose? Agent Jay? Jean-Luc Picard? Ellen Ripley?

How about that scruffy nerf herder by the name of Han Solo?

If you chose any of Harrison Ford's on-screen personas, then you chose wisely. To date, Ford has tangled with a host of alien races across eight sci-fi films — and he's won. Here are those eight, not including the boatload of stormtroopers and other members of the Imperial Forces he's sent to that big spaceship in the sky.

1. Greedo

  • Movie: Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)
  • Who he is: Bounty hunter
  • Where he's from: Rodia

Tell me again, who shot first?

2. Mynocks

  • Movie: Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
  • Who they are: Bat-like parasites
  • Where they're from: Asteroid fields, Exogorth stomachs, the atmosphere of planets.

This makes that leech scene in Stand by Me, and basically all of Tremors, look like a walk in the park:

3. Dengar

  • Movie: Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
  • Where he died: Showdown on the Smuggler's Moon, Part V comic book
  • Who he is: Bounty hunter
  • Where he's from: Corellia

He was human, from the same planet as Han, and his death comes in a comic book — but this is Earth that's getting invaded, so Dengar counts as an alien, right? Chewie also lent him a furry hand with this one.

4. Boba Fett

  • Movie: Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
  • Who he is: Bounty hunter
  • Where he's from: Kamino

A clone of Jango Fett, Boba is a human bounty hunter who, during a fight, sustained a lucky hit to his jetpack courtesy of Han, which sent him into a sarlacc pit where he — well, watch this:

5. Formics

  • Movie: Ender's Game (2013)
  • Who they are: An alien race that once attacked humanity, killing millions.

But here, they get defeated in the film's final twist ending.

6. Old West Aliens

  • Movie: Cowboys & Aliens (2011)
  • Who the are: Intergalactic gold miners.

, James B- ,er, Daniel Craig, and a few other brave souls unite in the Old West to fight back against aliens who intend to, at worst, annihilate all earthlings, and at best, just experiment on them all. Here's the trailer.

7. Crystal Aliens

  • Movie: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)\
  • What they are: Interdimensional beings, in point of fact.

Adding a very unnecessary sci-fi theme to 's adventures, Indy has to get a crystal skull back to its rightful owner, an "interdimensional being" hiding in some ancient ruins, and avoid being sucked into another dimension in the process. Oh, and there are evil Russians. And here's why you don't mess with crystal aliens:

8. Replicants

  • Movie: (1982)
  • What they are: Biorobotic androids

The "aliens" here are replicants that should be living anywhere but Earth, yet they continue to illegally arrive in droves in an attempt to have a better quality of life on our blue planet. It's Ford's Rick Deckard who is tasked with tracking the replicants down to “retire” them, but inadvertently falls for one. What will happen should we get invaded? That's E.T.-level ew.

Check out the teaser trailer for Blade Runner 2049, coming October 6. If we missed any of Han Solo's stellar interstellar victories, let us know in the comments below.
