Let's face it, cosplaying is one of the most awesome jobs ever. The quality of a cosplay varies depending on the person handling the transformation, but there are times when cosplayers dive so deep into their efforts that their attire isn't just a costume, but rather a spitting image.
Now we've gotten another example of how jaw-dropping #cosplay can be, thanks to a popular cosplayer by the name of Alyson Tabbitha. The professional fan recently took to Instagram to share a picture of herself cosplaying as #GalGadot's version of Diana Prince, and you probably won't be able to tell them apart.
Don't Be Fooled, This Isn't Gal Gadot
As Tabbitha explains, her transformation into the Amazon Warrior began as a simple makeup test for a future cosplaying session. Fortunately, her imagination ran wild from there. Things got bigger and bigger until she found herself creating a costume and overall becoming Gadot's spitting image.
According to Tabbitha, there are still a few things to work out with the suit, but I mean ... that's definitely Diana. This is a bit far-fetched, but if they ever made a movie where Gadot has a sister, I'd definitely want to see this cosplayer in the role!
Tabbitha's cosplaying efforts go all the way back to her childhood. Her mom was a professional character performer, and she'd make Halloween costumes for her daughter. Tabbitha wasn't really familiar to the cosplaying scene until her friend took her to Megacon in 2014. Since then, cosplaying has become her life, and she's made a name for herself in the geek community, having amassed 330,000+ Instagram fans, over 100,000 YouTube subscribers and nearly 20,000 Twitter followers.
If you want to look at other mind-bending pictures that makes telling an actor/character and cosplayer apart one of the hardest tasks ever, don't worry, because Tabbitha has them. Tons, in fact, so let's take a dive into her cosplaying history and marvel at her efforts.
Wait... That Isn't The Real Captain Jack Sparrow?
As part of one of her and most impressive best projects yet, the talented fan dressed up as Captain #JackSparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and the results are just outstanding:
I won't lie, I thought that was #JohnnyDepp at first. It should go without saying, but it takes a whole lot of work to look that authentic. Fun fact, this is the cosplay she used to slowly perfect her makeup craft, as she repeats the process every year to better her skills.
If you're curious to learn the steps behind her transformation into Jack Sparrow, Tabbitha uploaded a detailed guide on her outstanding process. Check it out in all of its pirate glory:
Attack On Titan
The titans in the #AttackOnTitan TV series are enormous monsters with a deformed physiology. One might think that cosplaying as one of them simply can't be done, but Tabbitha proved otherwise when she created her own, incredibly realistic version of the baddies:
Yikes, that's terrifying! There's a funny story attached to Tabbitha wearing this costume involving Mexican food and a stubborn zipper, as the cosplayer revealed during an interview in a convention:
Meet Padme Amidala
For any #StarWars geeks out there, Tabbitha also took on the role of Padmé from Attack of the Clones. I don't know what you think about this, but I'm pretty confident #NataliePortman would be more than proud by seeing this picture:
It's incredible to see what Tabbitha's been able to accomplish with a small budget and low-cost props. She definitely has a talent, so I can't wait to see what she comes up next. If you want to follow her cosplaying journey, check out her Instagram, Twitter or YouTube channel.
We'll get to see the real Gal Gadot as #WonderWoman back on the big screen when Justice League flies into theaters on November 17, 2017.
