American Horror Story has come a long way since its creepy but uneven first season, Murder House... and now it's going all the way back. Ryan Murphy, the genius behind the series and television's most in-demand writer/director/showrunner, confirmed recently that the proper crossover fans have been waiting for will finally happen some time in the near future as Murder House meets Coven.
Here's what he had to say to the audience at Entertainment Weekly's PopFest:
"We do know what we’re going to do. It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre."
Everything in the universe of #AmericanHorrorStory is very bizarre, but throw the likes of Evan Peters's deliciously psychotic ghost Tate Langdon in with the modern face of Salem and, uhh, Evan Peters's equally psychotic butler/guard dog Kyle Spencer and you know some seriously weird shit is bound to go down.

What we don't know yet is which characters will appear, and how the crossover season will deal with multiple characters played by the same actors, considering it's a fair bet the likes of Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Frances Conroy will reprise their dual roles. We don't yet know if Jessica Lange is on board, but I sure as hell hope so.
It sounds as if Murphy already has a plan for Season 7, so we'll be waiting at least a couple of years for Murder Coven to happen. In the meantime Murphy has two seasons of #AmericanCrimeStory on the way (Katrina and Cunanan/Versace, both shooting next Spring), Season 3 of #ScreamQueens and the first season of anthology series Feud. The man's getting dollar. Check out the trailer above for the eighth episode of AHS: Roanoke.
