Spoilers for Episode 7 lurk ahead like a filthy hillbilly in the woods...
#AmericanHorrorStory really loves making us work for it this season. After encouraging audiences to play 'Spot The Gaga' in the first few episodes of My Roanoke Nightmare, Finn Wittrock finally appeared in Chapter 7 this week. The problem, though, is that most viewers probably missed him. See if you can finn-d Wittrock in this GIF taken from the episode below.
No, Finn isn't secretly dressed up the always adorable Mama Polk. The 'real-life' version of the hillbilly's matriarch is instead being played by Robin Weigert, who makes a welcome return to American Horror Story after last appearing in Season 2, Asylum.
Take a closer look. The handsome devil who plagued the characters of both Freak Show and Hotel with his disturbing antics is the one holding the camera, filming his hillbilly brethren as they torture Lee.
Don't believe us? Here's a closer blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance from Wittrock in the same episode.
While we don't know the name of Wittrock's character yet, show runner Ryan Murphy has confirmed that he'll hold a vital role in the last few episodes of Season 6, revealing that he'll be playing the;
That's a bold claim, considering that Wittrock played Dandy Mott in Freakshow. After all, the deranged man-child was even more disturbing than his ancestor Edward Philippe Mott, who Evan Peters played earlier in Season 6.
The interview revealed little else regarding how fucked up Wittrock's character will be, but it's hard to imagine him doing anything worse than eating people and disembowelling them like everyone else seems to be doing on the regular these days.
Murphy's chin-wag also mentions that we're also set to see Taissa Farmiga this season. With only a few more episodes to go, when will Farmiga make her appearance?
Well, there's actually a strong chance that we've seen Taissa in Episode 7 already. After all, now that we're in the 'real world', Scathach is no longer played by Lady Gaga, so who was it under that scruffy wig? Our money's on Taissa Farmiga, who last appeared on American Horror Story as another witch fighting to be the Supreme in Coven, so her casting here would be a nice touch.
Another recurring cast member may have also appeared this week finally, although this one's less clear. That's right folks, the loveable blue-eyed Matt Bomer may have returned in Episode 7 as the 'real-life' ghost of Edward Philippe Mott, screaming at the shows participants as they tried to escape the house underground. Sure, Mott was far friendlier when he was played by Evan Peters, but maybe this version of the character hasn't had his nipples rouged for a while, causing him to vent his frustration in a demonic scream. Understandable, really.

Whether Taissa Farmiga and Matt Bomer have appeared yet or not in Season 6, we're excited/terrified now that Finn Wittrock has finally made his debut. While we're yet to see quite how fucked up his character will be, we know American Horror Story won't disappoint us. After all, people have already started chowing down on human legs and we're only two episodes into Return To Roanoke: 3 Days In Hell!
