The clock is ticking and all bets are off in regards to who will be the lone survivor of #AmericanHorrorStory Season 6. While we are still reeling from the Halloween episode and the dramatically rising body count, let's look ahead at what will be happening in "Chapter 8." It looks like another chop-happy week with hillbillies, hatchets, and ham — but beware, there are SPOILERS ahead!

Peekaboo - Finn Wittrock I See You
We see Finn Witrock under a heavy layer of "teen boy" prosthetics to give us a look at the Polk behind the camera. Wittrock had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance in "Chapter 7," but it looks like he is stepping into the limelight next week. Adina Porter's Lee survived her time as a walking buffet, but still appears in dire straights at the mercy of Wittrock's Polk brother. Murphy has teased that this season Wittrock will be playing his most f****d up character yet. Coming from the boy that played Dandy Mott, our girls could be in trouble!
Piggy In The Middle
With cast numbers tumbling, there aren't many of our famous faces still knocking around in the Roanoke house. "Chapter 7" saw Lily Rabe's Shelby take a blade to the shoulder and still manage to bash her hubby's head in — impressive stuff. The promo sets the scene for things getting a lot worse for Shelby as she screams, "We're going to die in here." Hauled up against the "real" Butcher and her horde, can Shelby and ex-fling Dominic escape? With the infamous Piggy Man lurking behind Cuba Gooding Jr., the two clearly have their work cut out.
The Great Escape
It might be easy to get the actresses confused, but pause it just right and you can hear that the bloodcurdling scream is synonymous with Sarah Paulson's Audrey. When we left Paulson she was tied up with Angela Bassett's Monet at the mercy of the Polk boys. The matching in the above picture confirms that at some point the plucky Brit does make it back to the Roanoke house, although her situation clearly doesn't improve.
We had assumed that we had seen the last of Kathy Bates's electric performance as Mary Agnes Winstead/The butcher, but can the unkillable woman rise again? We already saw Mary Agnes survive having her head smashed through a window, then take a bullet to the shoulder, so why would a hatchet to the skull should have finished her off? The shot of a bloodied Butcher apron implies that Bates will be back for one more scare, hopefully with a blade protruding from her cranium to spook Shelby and Dominic.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Like a crude James Bond torture scene, or part of Wrong Turn, the Polk boys will be taking out their hillbilly rage on our Roanoke girls. With crude blades, pliers, and screwdrivers, get ready for some toe-curling scenes of torture, but don't say Ryan Murphy didn't warn us. However, who's blurred hand is that? We see Angela Bassett crawling through a tunnel at one point, so is she tooling up to exact some revenge on the Polks beforehand?
Curtains For Cuba?
Continuing the haunting, we see Dominic having his arm grabbed, and another Piggy Man coming towards him with a blade. Let's also focus on the scene where someone (and a chandelier) comes tumbling to the ground. It looks like it is filmed by one of the participant's POV cameras, so expect someone to have a dramatic send off. Cuba Gooding Jr.'s confessional made him out as the macho male, and he was the only one to witness Shelby murder Matt — expect next week to be his last.
As the series winds to a close it looks like it is bloody business as usual. In the typical Horror Story style of keeping us begging for more, the promo does leave a lot of open ends:
- What makes Finn Wittrock's character the most messed up he has ever played? Surely not his patriotism: "We're part of the United States."
- Why is their farm all wired up with cameras, was Sydney in cahoots with the cannibals?
- How does Audrey escape the Polks back to the Roanoke House?
- What stops the "new" Butcher torching the house?
- Where are Taissa Farmiga and Matt Bomer's characters?
All this, and it is still only night one of Roanoke's "3 Days In Hell." With the actors dropping like flies, it really does look like the lone survivor prophecy is fulfilling itself. Tune in next week for another exciting installment of American Horror Story: Roanoke, who knows, we might actually get a title sequence!
