The New York Film Critics Circle have all gotten together and delivered one of the award season's first fully fleshed out honors list.
Now, although the NYFCC Awards aren't exactly rivaling the Oscars in terms of prestige, but they do act as a nice early indicator for how the Academy Awards could turn out.
This year's big winner appears to be 's still unreleased crime thriller, American Hustle. The film, which boasts an ensemble cast including , and , picked up the Best Film and Best Screenplay Award, as well as a Best Supporting Actress gong for .
Of course, this doesn't mean American Hustle is going to perform similarly well at the Oscars, but it does suggest it's one to watch. Last year the NYFCC tipped 's Zero Dark Thirty as the best movie which, as it turns out, eventually lost out to Argo at the Oscars. Check out the full list of winners below:
