BloodyDisgusting have informed us that the horror script for Keith Ray Putnam’s Red Ice has been picked up by Envision Media Arts.

If this is the first you've heard about it, then feast your eyes on the premise below (via BloodyDisgusting):

Red Ice follows a trucker hauling emergency supplies across the frozen waterways of arctic Canada who must survive an onslaught of mysterious, man-eating creatures.

If you wanna check Putnam's credentials, then you'll be interested to know that he was:

A graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and worked as writer and director on independent films, industrials and web commercials. His award-winning short, “double,” began its festival run at Cannes and finished at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Red Ice is his first spec to be picked up by a studio-based production company.

Sounds pretty exciting if you ask me, you can't beat a good old fashioned macabre action horror-based film in a beautiful, albeit bleak setting. Does Red Ice sound like the kind of horror you can get on board with?
