Many directors have come and gone since the announcement that Stacy Schiff's novel Cleopatra: A Life, was to be adapted for the big screen. , , and have all decided to pass on the project. That's okay though, because another awesome director is interested in tackling the movie.

With the adaptation of 's 'unfilmable' book Life of Pi getting plenty of awards acclaim, director might well kick-start another long-awaited project into production.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lee revealed that he's actually looking at Cleopatra, the historical biopic which still has attached in the titular role (who else!), as his next movie.

From a director who has done movies like Hulk and Brokeback Mountain, this is yet another completely different project for his career, and that's what has Lee interested:

I'm about to read the script. It just feels right to me after all the other types of films I've done. What does it have in common with any of them? They're all totally different! That's what makes this perfect.

I say, let the man do whatever he wants! Just a fantastic director. Do you agree?

Frankly, a historical biopic like this with Jolie would be quite an intriguing prospect, and you can almost guarantee that it would bring Lee back to the Academy Awards as a contender yet again.
