Tino Jochimsen

is one of my heroes, if only because he wrote and co-wrote Jeremiah Johnson and The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, two of my all-time favorite westerns.

The man is obviously mad as a hatter but charmingly so. He also co-scripted Apocalypse Now which places him somewhat beyond reproach, at least in terms of screenwriting.

In the interview below you'll have the pleasure of seeing Milius being interviewed by none other than director . They talk about his career, especially - of course - Apocalypse Now for sweet 45 minutes.
