Aquaman is set to steal the show in Justice League this fall before appearing in his own solo movie. As of right now, not much is known about the plot of the latter, except that Jason Mamoa and Amber Heard will be reprising their roles as both the King of Atlantis and his wife Mera. They will also be joined by massive stars such as Willem Dafoe, Dolph Lundgeren and Patrick Wilson.

So, fans have been turning to photos from the Aquaman set for clues. And the latest give us a good look at some Atlantean armor:

The tweet caption translates to, "New images from the set, where we see Atlantean armor." If these are indeed the soldiers of Atlantis, then they are certainly much different from what fans are used to seeing in the comics and cartoons.

This isn't the first time that fans have gotten a behind-the-scenes look into the production of Aquaman through social media. Back in February, Mamoa posted a picture to Instagram, with him sporting a rather familiar trident:

As of right now, it seems that Mamoa is just as excited for this film as any fan. With that much enthusiasm from the star, let's hope the finished movie will live up to the hype. We can expect some more Aquaman news in the buildup to Justice League, rolling into theaters on November 17, 2017.

Aquaman currently has a release date of December 21, 2018.
