I'm cautiously optimistic about bringing Conan the Barbarian back to life all these years later, but now the aging action star wants to calm my fears with a promise - The Legend of Conan will not be a "B-movie" cash-in.
Arnie was recently talking about the project, and said he's been pushing for the sequel, and he wants to make it seriously epic.
He told MTV:
The audience and the fans are very sophisticated. They've seen all the Spider-Man and Superman and Iron Man [movies] and the Expendables as regular action movies. They've seen it all. So when they see a Conan movie coming, they demand a spectacle. That's what we tried to do with Last Stand - to give them the car chases, cars going 200 mph, racing through cornfields, crazy stuff you haven't seen before. You have to give them great entertainment.

Here's hoping everyone's favorite former Governor of California can come through on the promise, because that sounds like the Conan we've been waiting for all these years.
