If you thought 2016 featured a lot of superheroes, you're going to be wild about 2017! That number is only likely to increase, not least because a number of these shows are on their mid-season break, and are certain to return!

'Lucifer' Season 2 - 01/16/2017
DC's supernatural series has picked up from its mid-season break on January 16th, although we don't yet know whether or not its been renewed for a third season.
'Supergirl' Season 2 - 01/23/2017
Returning from her mid-season break on January 23rd, #Supergirl Season 2 seems to have become the highlight of The CW's #DCTV universe! The series has gone from strength-to-strength, taking delightful twists - including in Kara's love-life. Supergirl has been renewed, and Season 3 will launch later this year.
'The Flash' Season 3 - 01/24/2017
After a thrilling mid-season finale, #Flash returned on 01/24/2017. The mid-season finale gave Barry Allen a haunting vision of the future, one that he's striving to prevent. With the DCTV universe flourishing, The Flash has officially been renewed, so Season 4 will launch later in the year.
'Arrow' Season 5 - 01/25/2017
The mid-season break of #Arrow set up some devastating emotional twists, which have had intense repercussions after Christmas. In the face of persistent rumors he's leaving the series, Stephen Amell has revealed that his contract runs through until 2019; Arrow has officially been renewed for Season 6.
'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 2 - 01/26/2017
#LegendsOfTomorrow's mid-season finale only increased the threat of the Legion of Doom; they're on their way to gaining the Spear of Destiny! We've since seen things continue to get worse for the team, and Legends of Tomorrow has officially been renewed. Season 3 will launch later in the year!
'Powerless' - 02/02/2017
#Powerless is a comedy series set in the DC Universe. It's essentially a workplace sitcom akin to The Office, with a focus on an insurance agency who deal with superhero-related damages. So far it's pretty inconsequential, but also tremendous fun!
'Legion' - 02/08/2017
Probably the most unusual superhero TV show ever made, #Legion is an unusual story inspired by the X-Men character David Haller. Excitingly, the series proved popular enough to be renewed for a second season!
'Iron Fist' - 03/17/2017
First of the #MarvelNetflix shows to air in 2017, #IronFist introduced us to the final Defender — Finn Jones's Iron Fist! It's been Marvel's most controversial series so far, with heated debate over casting and the quality of the action.
'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' - 04/04/2017
Diving deep into the twisted digital reality known as the Framework, #AgentsOfSHIELD Season 4's third pod promises to be a thrilling ride - complete with some surprising returning characters, including Brett Dalton's Grant Ward!
'The Defenders' - 08/18/2017
The crowning glory of Marvel Netflix, #TheDefenders will unite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage against Sigourney Weaver's still-enigmatic villain. This is a must-not-miss!
'The Inhumans' - 09/01/2017
Although we don't yet have a firm release date for Marvel's #Inhumans, this series promises to be like nothing else we've seen before. The first two episodes will premiere on IMAX, then heading over to ABC. We know that it looks to be incredibly comic-book-accurate, right down to featuring action set on the Dark Side of the Moon!
'The Punisher' - Unknown
Jon Bernthal's performance in Daredevil Season 2 was strong enough to earn the #Punisher a solo Netflix series of his own! This looks set to continue the Punisher's bloody and brutal war on crime.
