Ever since the news of Tom Holland's #SpiderMan showing up in Avengers: Infinity War surfaced, people met the news with both excitement and concern. Excitement because more Spider-Man is always a good thing — and concern because the movie is already packed with an insane number of characters. Does it really still have room for a hero of Spider-Man's stature?
I'm guessing it does, and here's why: Infinity War could be the perfect movie to introduce the Symbiotes into the MCU...and by consequence, the setup for #Venom.
Here's why I hope to see Spider-Man back in black by the end of Infinity War.
It Would Decently Match The Comics Origin
The first appearance of the black suit was way back during the Secret Wars arc in the 1980s. Basically, it's an all-out intergalactic war between the most popular characters at the time, and during Secret Wars #8, Spider-Man finds the black suit. It turns him into a creep and he manages to reject the Symbiote, which then binds with Eddie Brock instead, creating Venom, who's obsessed with revenge against Spider-Man.
There is no need to include the Secret Wars arc in the continuity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), because Infinity Wars — which features Thanos and the Guardians of the Galaxy — will most likely be (at least) partially set in space. And it features an all-out war, covering that aspect from Secret Wars. That's the perfect "in" for the Venom Symbiote making its way onto Peter Parker's arm.
It Would Set Up Marvel's Phase 4
Avengers: Infinity War is basically the culmination of the original plan from Marvel Studios that began with Nick Fury's cameo in Iron Man and ultimately gave us Phases 1-3. It could serve the purpose of heralding new changes, themes and stories for the MCU's upcoming crop of heroes, which very much includes Tom Holland's Spider-Man.
While Spider-Man: Homecoming looks great thanks to its smaller scale adventure, the Symbiote storyline would add some danger and gravitas to a future movie.

It Would Make Up For Spider-Man 3
Sam Raimi never wanted to include Venom in his Spidey movies, and when Sony forced his hand, the results were so bad it necessitated a reboot. (And then another reboot.)
But Marvel knows what it's doing with its own characters, and would refuse to let Venom get botched a second time. If they decide to introduce the Venom Symbiote in Infinity Wars, you know it'll lead to awesome things to come.
With so many characters confirmed to show up and Spidey also coming into the mix, Infinity Wars shouldn't waste its chance to give him a prominent role in the film. The black suit could tease a great arc without being too distracting.
Either way, Avengers: Infinity War is shaping up to be so much fun!
