The Russo brothers certainly know how to spark the fires of speculation — with just one Facebook post they've managed to almost (not really) reveal that Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown will appear in the superhero team-up movie of the century known as Avengers: Infinity War.

Here's the post in question and do bear in mind here that the Russos are both practiced pranksters (they co-wrote Community after all), and that they also love to tease elements of their movies on social media. And you can bet that after they dropped multiple hints about Captain America: Civil War via Facebook, we're taking everything they post as a potential plot hint.

I mean. Why else would up-and-coming starlet Millie Bobby Brown be doing on the set but taking a break from her small but no doubt pivotal cameo role in the movie?

While this is far from an official revelation that the actress will appear in the movie, this post is just begging for fans to speculate wildly. So let's do just that, and compile a list of who Millie Bobby Brown could be playing in the movie.

1: Squirrel Girl

Seriously. This plucky young superheroine has always been one of 's more tongue-in-cheek heroes, but she's also very popular among fans, thanks to her courage and sense of humor. So popular in fact, that ABC and Marvel Studios are reportedly developing a New Warriors TV show with Squirrel Girl as the main character. And who better to helm the show than Millie Bobby Brown, whose brief time in the media spotlight has proved she's both a fantastic actress and has excellent comic timing?

Including a Squirrel Girl cameo in Infinity War would set up the show beautifully, and the Russo brothers have even hinted as much... though they did say that Pitch Perfect actress Anna Kendrick would be awesome in the role. Moving on then.

2: Cassie Lang

Granted, Scott Lang's daughter may have already appeared in Ant-Man, but this wouldn't exactly be the first time Marvel Studios have recast a supporting role (Rhodey, Thanos, and Hulk all spring to mind). Not only would it make total sense to check in with Scott's family again in Infinity War — especially as he straight up abandoned his daughter by going on the run in Civil War — Cassie has the added bonus of being the founding member of the popular team the Young Avengers.

Again, this would be a perfect set-up for a followup TV show, or even a movie based around the young team, which fans have been asking for for years. And speaking of the Young Avengers...

3: Kate Bishop

The other is one of Marvel Comics' most popular characters. First appearing in Young Avengers Vol. 1, Kate Bishop went on to appear in Matt Fraction's game-changing Hawkeye comic. (If you ever wondered why Clint Barton went from a bit of a laughing stock to a fan favorite, Fraction's comic is why. Also, please read Fraction's Hawkeye, it's great.)

Millie Bobby Brown is absolutely perfect for the sometimes arrogant, always badass Kate Bishop, though admittedly right now she's a bit young for the part. When we meet Kate in Young Avengers Vol. 1, she's around 19 years old and just starting to make her way in the world. But this doesn't necessarily prove that Millie Bobby Brown isn't playing her in Infinity War — after all, the MCU wouldn't get around to a Young Avengers movie for several years, allowing the young actress to age up a bit.

4: Polaris

Half-sister of Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, Lorna Dane a.k.a. Polaris is a very powerful mutant and has worked with the in the comics. As a mutant, she might be under Fox's ownership — and she may have popped up at the end of X-Men: First Class. However, with Scarlet Witch becoming a prominent member of the MCU Avengers, she may meet her long-lost sister in Infinity War.

Personally, although the next option is rather vague I think it's far more likely...

5: Another Daughter Of Thanos

Gamora and Nebula are only two of Thanos's veritable army of kidnapped / adopted offspring. With the teaming up with the Avengers in Infinity War, this would be a nice way to bridge the gap between the two groups. Not only that, but with Thanos battling the superheroes it's almost a dead cert that we'll see more of his dangerous children, whom he trained to be vicious assassins. And we all know just how good Millie Bobby Brown is at being terrifying...

Of course, it could be that the young actress was just hanging out on the set for personal reasons. Keep your eyes peeled for casting announcements!
