Director Edgar Wright will deliver one of the most anticipated movies of the summer with #BabyDriver — and if you've been looking for a car film that's actually about cars and cool stunts, then this is the movie for you. In addition to Wright's unique style of filmmaking, what sets Baby Driver apart from many of today's car movies is that the crashes are real. Even the actors are driving their own cars!
And indeed, in this new behind-the-scenes video, "Revved Up," the danger is high:
Baby Driver Is As Real As It Gets
Baby Driver is not about a baby with a Hot Wheels vehicle, but about a young criminal who drives to the rhythm of his music player. Behind the wheel of the car is actor Ansel Elgort, and as we saw in the featurette above, there is no stuntman replacing him in the film. Most of the main cast (which includes Lily James, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bernthal and Kevin Spacey) took stunt-driving classes for maximum practical effects:
"There are lots of moments in the film where the stunts are just real with no rigs, no wires, no green screen."
With so much realism and so many intense stunts, #Sony's Baby Driver is set to become one of this year's most exciting films when it hits theaters on June 28.
