He might be known for punching Batman repeatedly in the face in The Dark Knight Rises, but it seems underneath the hardened exterior Bane has a heart of gold. , who played the muscular villain in the -directed movie, visited Kayleigh Duff, an ailing mother who's undergoing cancer treatment, and took the her out for dinner.

Talking to ET Online the soon-to-married mother of one described her reaction when she met the Hollywood star:

I nearly died when I saw him I just thought we were having a day out in London. He was so lovely and down to earth. We had lunch and tea and scones and he bought me a diamond necklace.

Hardy's co-star in The Dark Knight trilogy, , has been praised in the past for his own charitable appearances, which just goes to show that Gotham's finest are really good guys at heart.
