Harley Quinn is back in her original costume and ready to cause trouble in Gotham. The latest installment in DC's animated universe, Batman and Harley Quinn, is a nostalgic journey that centers on an unlikely alliance of vigilantes and villains. Entertainment Weekly debuted the movie’s first trailer, which is ready for your viewing below:
Executive produced by Harley's co-creator, Bruce Timm, this original story finds #Batman and Nightwing recruiting her to end a verdant catastrophe created by her best friend, #PoisonIvy. Melissa Rauch (The Big Bang Theory) is giving the Clown Princess of Crime a new voice in this upcoming feature. With the character's sarcastic humor and badass nature, the actress has expressed that this is, in fact, her dream role.
Batman and Harley Quinn looks to be taking a comedic tone, in contrast to darker films of the DCAU such as last year's The Killing Joke. Though Harley's background is plenty dark, it's impossible to shy away from humor when she's in the midst of a story.
Batman and Harley Quinn will available this summer on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. In the meantime, check out some of Harley's greatest hits from Batman: The Animated Series:
