There's been a lot of talk about the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie that's coming out in 2015. So far the reception it's been getting hasn't been great. Personally I am not a fan of and I could think of some reasons why. But at the same time I could understand why he might be a good Batman. I have to say though, at the end of the day the movie is a Man of Steel sequel! I love , I think he's perfect and let's be honest, this is his movie.
Man of Steel was good. Not spectacular, not bad, just good. I liked the original story, the nice effects (though they were a bit much at times) and I liked the idea they were going for with the villains. Strong, powerful and a threat to Superman.
The first thing I thought after I left the cinema after watching Man of Steel was 'The sequel will be good'. I just want the sequel to be what The Dark Knight was for Batman Begins. Warner Brothers seem to be laying all their cards on the table with the introduction of Batman to fight alongside/against Superman. I can't wait!
The only thing people are focusing on at the moment is Ben Affleck. Yes it wouldn't be my first choice, but we do have as Superman, directing again, POSSIBLY as Lex Luthur (Please Warner Brothers). Not to mention Batman and Superman on the same screen at once! This beats Avengers for me (don't hate me).
So the moral of the story is: if you're like me and don't like Ben Affleck, don't give up hope. There's plenty of great actors and a good director and, who knows, maybe Affleck could work. We'll just have to wait for a first trailer.
