Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is not only featuring the two titular heroes - it'd kind of be false advertising if it didn't - but the long-awaited Nightwing as well. Word on the web is we can expect (Adam Sackler on HBO's Girls) to take the role, according to The Wrap. He may not look like the most typically butch superhero guy, but Driver has been through the Marine Corps., so a few stunts in a cape won't bother him.

has been a popular fan choice for Nightwing - heck, he's been shipped for a whole stack of superhero movies - so it'll be interesting to see how fans react to the idea of Adam Driver in the role. Both guys can thank for setting the bar for unpopular DC casting, meaning that any DC Universe role from now on will be met with sighs of relief.

The mythology behind Nightwing is kind of convoluted and confusing, having been through several incarnations throughout various strands of DC Comics. Added to this the differences planted in the movies - for example, going with the Robin John Blake angle in The Dark Knight Rises rather than Dick Grayson - and it's safe to say we don't know quite what to expect from the Nightwing element of Batman vs. Superman.

What do you think of Adam Driver as Nightwing? Are you a Joseph Gordon-Levitt fan or do you have someone else in mind? No comment from Warner Bros. regarding Nightwing has been released, so keep your eyes open for more Batman vs. Superman casting news, which we'll share as soon as possible, as fast as greased Nightwing...
