is currently gracing New York City with his shirtless body, but rumor has it that he'll soon be covering his bare chest with a batsuit as Bruce Wayne in director 's Man of Steel sequel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Batman casting rumor comes from The Daily Express, so you can probably take this "news" with a grain of salt.

If this is true, it will obviously be departure from 's gritty version of Batman, which played throughout the course of his trilogy. Bale is also rumored to be up for the part with a $50 million paycheck. That all being said, we've also heard that , , , , , , and have all been considered for Gotham's billionaire playboy.

This all begs the question - How do you feel about these potential casting choices? If Warner Bros. is looking for an older Batman, casting someone like Bloom feels a bit off to me, personally. Right now, I feel like Jeffrey Dean Morgan fits the bill of being the right age, a bit rugged, and a good opposing force to 's Clark Kent.

If you're upset by the possibility that Orlando Bloom won't be Batman in Snyder's sequel, cheer up: He'll be reprising his role as Legolas (aka ) in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug this December.
