Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara has revealed that 's Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is going to be experienced and jaded describing the Dark Knight as "tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile". Tsujihara was speaking at an investor gathering and acknowledged that even though the casting of Affleck had caused much controversy, he was certain that he was "perfect" for the role and that "we think it’s going to be huge."

Tsujihara added:

We think it’s the perfect springboard for Batman and Superman. Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character.

I have to admit I got swept up in the skepticism when Affleck was announced as the new Batman back on August 22nd, but I'm now fully on board with the decision. The fact that this new iteration of the character will also be tired and weary is an exciting development. Don't get me wrong, I loved 's portrayal of the Batman, but his was a very physical Dark Knight who was more at home punching his way to the solution as opposed to using his genius-level intellect to solve problems. I'm hoping that we'll get to see more of the Worlds's Greatest Detective in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a Caped Crusader that uses his mind as much as his muscle.

What say you? Is it a good move to have an older, more experienced Batman in Batman vs Superman?
