Apparently, some hardcore Swedish LARPers have taken a retired naval destroyer and turned it into the setting for a real life Battlestar Galactica live-action role-playing game.

The game takes place aboard a Celestra, which is a ship that the show mentions but that we don't actually get to see. Everyone aboard has a role to play out, and that's where things get crazy. If you've watched the show, you know this means a ton of tension as the humans try to survive and figure out who the Cylons are. The Battlestar Galactica boardgame nearly results in friends killing each other, so I dread to think how something like this ends.

The basics: a retired naval destroyer. Over a million Swedish kronor ($160,000). 140 characters. Dozens of staff.

The result?

So basically, this is the most awesome thing, and those of us who still hold Galactica in our hearts may one day actually be able to experience it for real. I'd nerdgasm if I was one of the players selected to LARP as a humanoid Cylon. Does this sound like fun to you?
