Out of all of the weird and wacky characters spilling out of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, there's no argument that the Red Queen is by far the most deranged. Quick to anger and unleash her wrath on anyone who crosses her, her unpredictable personality and demented screeching was perfectly brought to the big screen by British actress Helena Bonham Carter. See her in action below:
And considering the Queen of Hearts is one of the most memorable characters from Tim Burton's extravaganza, it was about time that someone took her on in the game of cosplay.
Cosplayer Ashlynne Dae recently joined up with Movie Pilot's @SuperNewsLive channel in #Becoming to be transformed into the Red Queen by make-up professional Amber Talarico (or @amberico on Instagram), giving us a glimpse into the magic of the craft.
Ashylnne, who describes herself as a costume designer, a model and "all around nerd," sparked off her fascination with awesome cosplay after being a seamstress for more than a decade. She said:
"I love cosplaying because I can look at picture, and figure out what I need to do in order to recreate it. It's like a big puzzle to me. I love wig styling as well as the sewing aspect of cosplay, and I'm working to perfect my prop crafting."
As well as bringing to life a number of Disney characters, Ashlynne also does a stellar job of cosplaying horror icons, members of the comic book universe and notable Game of Thrones faces. Speaking of her love of the art form, she says:
"I love cosplay as an art form, and am a huge fan of this beautiful and expressive community.

Appearing on #Becoming, make-up artist Amber Talarico helped Ashlynne nail the eccentric look paraded around by Helen Bonham Carter's Red Queen — everything from the fiery red wig, the intricate bodice and full skirt, to the mad look in her eye and the azure blue eyeshadow is perfect.
And for some bizarre reason, if the above images still haven't convinced you, delve deep into this incredible time-lapse video of the entire process:
