#Disney managed to restore the Star Wars franchise to its former glory with The Force Awakens and Rogue One, so it's no surprise that we are all eagerly anticipating the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. While the project hasn't been as secretive as its predecessors, there hasn't exactly been a lot of information about it, other than the confirmation of the classic crawl.
Well, #StarWars fans, get a hold of your lightsabers or blasters because The Last Jedi director, Rian Johnson, has given us our first look at the highly-anticipated film. Take a look:
In the picture, the Stormtroopers are lined up in front of either a blue or green screen. While they're highly-trained soldiers ready for combat, it looks like one of them has had enough of the job and decided to get his face get some air.
As with anything Star Wars-related, there's a reason behind the release of this picture, as Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, and Johnson have confirmed that there will be a panel for #TheLastJedi as part of Star Wars Celebration on April 14, 2017. That's a very exciting piece of information, because, according to Disney and Lucasfilm's announcement:
"The talk promises to feature a few surprises and special guests, kickstarting what is sure to be an exciting and memorable weekend."
Keeping that in mind, it seems likely that we'll get the first full-length trailer for the upcoming then.
