I'm pretty sure is a really nice guy, but make sure you never inaccurately state how much effort he's put into one of his roles. It turns out he really hates that.
Cumberbatch has responded to suggestions he merely provided the voice of two characters in 's The Hobbit Trilogy. Indeed, the Sherlock and Star Trek Into Darkness star does lend his voice to Smaug and The Necromancer, but his contribution doesn't end there. He also physically acted out the motions of the characters using the same technology utilized for ' performance of Gollum. He told New York Magazine:
It was publicized that I 'voice' Smaug, and I thought, "F@#king hell. My voice, my motions - I worked my ass off to create that dragon!"
Earlier in the month, we got the first possible look at a potential Smaug. Although it was claimed it was not the official look, I couldn't help thinking the beast did look very Cumberbatchy. Click here to take a look.
