While Netflix and Hulu may dominate TV streaming, is starting to make waves. The company is consistently churning out fresh, original series through its Amazon Prime service, many of which have been recognized for awards and prestigious nominations. Below is a list of my top 10 favorite original shows being streamed by Amazon right now — with number one being the biggest cant-miss.

10. Hand Of God

Series Status: It will end after Season 2, which premieres in 2017.

Starring: Ron Perlman, Dana Delany, Andre Royo, Garret Dillahunt, Alona Tal, Julian Morris, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Elizabeth McLaughlin

Plot: A morally corrupt judge named Pernell Harris (Pearlman) receives guidance from a con man reverend (Morris). Harris needs all the help he can get, considering he is cheating on his wife (Delany) with a prostitute, and his son is in a coma from a suicide attempt after being forced to witness his wife being raped. The wife wants to take him off of life support but Harris believes that God is using his son to telepathically send him messages about the rapist's identity.

9. Bosch

Series Status: Renewed for third and fourth season

Starring: Titus Welliver, Jamie Hector, Amy Aquino, Lance Reddick, Annie Wersching, Sarah Clarke, Jason Gedrick, Madison Lintz, Jeri Ryan, Brent Sexton

Plot: An LAPD detective (Welliver) finds himself in a wrongful death civil suit after shooting a suspect who seemingly reaches for something in a pocket. While trying to stay busy during the trial, he finds himself stuck in a web of brutal cases.

8. Goliath

Series Status: Second season pending

Starring: Billy Bob Thornton, William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Maria Bello, Sarah Wynter, Molly Parker, Britain Dalton, Nina Arianda, Tania Raymonde, Dwight Yoakum

Plot: An ex-lawyer (Thornton) gets a chance at revenge after taking on a wrongful death suit case against a firm that he helped create. Now washed up and frequently visiting the local bars rather than advancing his career, this is Billy McBride's chance at redemption. His team will have their work cut out for them once the details of a serious conspiracy start to unfold.

7. One Mississippi

Series Status: Renewed for second season

Starring: Tig Notaro, Noah Harpster, John Rothman, Casey Wilson, Rya Kihlstedt, Stephanie Allynne

Plot: A semi-autobiographical comedy created by comedian Tig Notaro follows a woman travelling back to her hometown in Mississippi. Her mother is being taken off of life support and she decides to temporarily live with her brother and stepfather. As she is recovering from a double mastectomy, she dives back into her town, family affairs and her mother's past.

6. Red Oaks

Series Status: Third season pending

Starring: Craig Roberts, Ennis Esmer, Jennifer Grey, Gage Golightly, Paul Reiser, Richard Kind

Plot: A comedy that takes place in the mid-'80s about an NYU student who takes a summer job at a New Jersey country club as a tennis pro. David Myers (Roberts) soon gets to know the country club members, as well as fellow employees, who all have advice to give about his future. His father has high expectations and a clear path he would like his son to take, but David has other ideas.

5. Good Girls Revolt

Series Status: Ended after first season

Starring: Genevieve Angelson, Anna Camp, Erin Darke, Chris Diamantopoulos, Hunter Parrish, Jim Belushi, Joy Bryant, Grace Gummer

Plot: Based on the book The Good Girls Revolt, which tells the true story of women working in the late 1960s. The series follows a group of young women who work for a publication as researchers. They soon realize they are underpaid and undervalued compared to their male coworkers. Instead of backing down, the group decides to prove themselves while fighting back against the norms.

4. Sneaky Pete

Series Status: Second season pending

Starring: Giovanni Ribisi, Marin Ireland, Shane McRae, Libe Barer, Michael Drayer, Peter Gerety, Margo Martindale, Bryan Cranston

Plot: A con man (Ribisi) tries to escape his past by taking on the identity of his prison cellmate. He reconnects with the man's estranged family, who are unaware of his true identity. Even though he finally found a family, their dysfunctional ways suck him back into a world that may be more dangerous than the one he was trying to leave behind.

3. Mozart In The Jungle

Series Status: Season four pending

Starring: Lola Kirke, Gael García Bernal, Saffron Burrows, Bernadette Peters, Peter Vack, Hannah Dunne, Malcolm McDowell

Plot: The members of a New York City orchestra adapt to change when the board appoints a new young and eccentric conductor (Bernal). The classic and traditional listeners have issues with the new hire, but he aims to prove himself in a fresh way. The series shows that the life of the orchestra is just as exciting behind the curtain as it is in front.

2. Transparent

Series Status: Renewed for a fourth season

Starring: Jeffrey Tambor, Gaby Hoffmann, Jay Duplass, Amy Landecker, Judith Light, Kathryn Hahn

Plot: The award-winning comedy follows an L.A. family whose father is transgender. As Maura (Tambor) tries to reveal her identity to her adult children, more secrets begin to spill out. She must also make some changes in other aspects of life, which is never easy.

1. The Man in the High Castle

Series Status: Renewed for a third season

Starring: Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, DJ Qualls, Joel de la Fuente, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Rufus Sewell, Brennan Brown, Callum Keith Rennie, Bella Heathcote

Plot: Loosely based on the book by Phillip K. Dick, The Man in the High Castle shows what the world could have become if the Allies had lost WWII. The United States is now under the control of Japan and Germany. Juliana Crain (Davalos) gets caught up in the resistance after her sister is killed, leaving Juliana a film reel that results in a mysterious trip to the Neutral Zone. As she investigates the truth about the tapes and the resistance members, she encounters a man (Kleintank) who helps save her life, but he also has a secret. Back home and unbeknownst to her, certain loved ones might be caught in the mess she is creating.

More and more actors are leaving networks behind and going after projects on streaming services, so it's no surprise how many familiar names are on this list.
