Have you ever been super jealous of what a character in a TV show or movie was eating? If you have, welcome to the club. Some food just looks so good on screen, it's hard not to be hit with cravings whilst watching it. Here are 10 times food in movies and TV has had us salivating at the screen.
10. Mars Potato — 'The Martian'
The Martian was one of 2015's best movies; watching Matt Damon "science the shit" out of Mars was fantastic to watch. One of the coolest scenes in the movie involves Matt Damon becoming the first person to grow potatoes on Mars. I know this wouldn't be as delicious as some of the other items on this list, but how cool would it be to try a potato from Mars?
9. Blue Bantha Milk — Star Wars
#StarWars is one of the best franchises in the world for Easter Eggs, and one of the best is the notable blue bantha milk that first appeared in A New Hope. Towards the start of the movie, we see the Skywalkers casually having the peculiar blue milk with their breakfast. This iconic milk even made a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
8. Scooby Snack - 'Scooby Doo'
It's weird how food in a cartoon can still be so appealing, even a food as simple as a Scooby Snacks. These are one of the most iconic pieces of food on this list, and it's damn near impossible to read "Scooby Snacks" without hearing it in Shaggy's voice.
7. The Red Apple — 'Snow White'
Snow White is the second animation on our list, and it just so happens to be the first animated movie ever. This classic was made back in 1937, and since then, fans have never forgotten that scrumptious-looking red apple from the witch. I know it was poisonous, but check out how good it looks! Talk about red apple goals.
6. Krusty Burger, Duff Beer & Donuts — 'The Simpsons'
Next up on our list are three items from the iconic TV show, The Simpsons. Now I know what some of you are thinking; "Hey, you can get those at Simpsonsland in Universal Studios". But are those as nice as the ones in the show?
These three items have become iconic, and it's impossible to truly name which one would be the best. If I had to pick one, I'd probably go for that pink donut Homer's always eating. I know it may seem like a regular donut, but it just looks so damn good.
5. The Chocolate River — 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory'
It was a tough decision narrowing down just one food stuff from a movie that's based on candy- so I chose the one I always dreamt of most, the chocolate river. In this scene, we see Augustus Gloop fall into this glorious river of delicious-looking chocolate, which, to this day, I'm still insanely jealous of.

4. Ratatouille - 'Ratatouille'
Let's be honest, most of us had never even heard of ratatouille before the #Pixar movie hit theaters, but ever since then, everybody knows the famous recipe. There was just something so beautiful about how well Pixar's animation went with the aesthetically gorgeous ratatouille in the movie. To this day I've yet to try this dish, but it's definitely on my bucket list!
3. Big Kahuna Burger & $5 Milkshake - 'Pulp Fiction'
Pulp Fiction is one of the most iconic films ever, and with that title comes certain scenes and props which are firmly embedded in our collective consciousness. In the above picture, you can see two unforgettable things from Pulp Fiction: the delicious-looking Big Kahuna Burger and the iconic $5 shake. I don't think I could choose one over the other, but if I had to, I'd probably go for that burger, in spite of its contentious use of pineapple.
2. Krabby Patty - 'Spongebob'
One thing that always stuck out for me in Spongebob is the delicious-looking Krabby Pattys that we see. They're up there with one of the most iconic burgers in TV & film history. This marks the third burger on our list and beats the likes of Pulp Fiction's Big Kahuna Burger and The Simpsons's Krusty Burger!
1. Cubanos - 'Chef'
Jon Favreau's 2013 movie, Chef, is one of my favorite movies about food ever made. But one thing that distracts me when watching it is how badly I want one of his cubanos that he cooks to perfection. Out of all the things on this list, Carl Casper's cubanos are the thing I want the most...
So I must admit, I'm pretty hungry now — I hope I didn't make you guys reach for the snacks too! I'd love to know which type of food or drinks you'd love to try from your favorite movies and TV shows.
Let me know in the comments what you'd love to have if you had the chance!
