After growing up with Princess Leia as her mom, it seemed only natural for Carrie Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, to join the Star Wars family in the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. And, although her role as Lieutenant Connix was brief in Episode VII, Lourd recently confirmed that she'll be returning in Star Wars: Episode VIII in a larger role!

While we were already told way back in March that Lourd would reprise her role, it's new (and exciting!) information that Connix will have a bigger presence in the film. Lourd revealed the news during an interview about her role in Season 2 of Scream Queens with the BUILD series. Lourd told the host: "Connix is back and better than ever!" and when asked if the character would have more than one line in the next film, she replied "Yes… I might get arrested now! Sorry, Rian [Johnson, the film's director]."
Take a look at the interview below (at 16:50) to see Lourd spill the deets:
Lourd then went on to talk about how working with her mom on set of Episode VII was both an amazing experience, but also slightly stressful as the two worried that that each other were ok. However, thankfully Lourd says the pair "got more into the swing of things" and had more fun working together during the filming of Episode VIII.
But while we know that Lourd will return as Connix once again, there's been no confirmation if she'll be rocking the same hairstyle she had in Episode VII - the cute little buns which were a nod to Leia's famous "cinnamon bun" hairstyle in the original films. I guess we'll just have to wait until December 2017, when the film hits cinemas, to find out!
