Although DC's biggest hero might be getting a major reboot with Man of Steel, the more obscure and periphery characters aren't being completely ignored. Arrow writer and executive producer Andrew Kreisberghas just announced that a Booster Gold script will be handed into Syfy in the coming days
When answering a question about the potential for more Booster Gold comics, he tweeted:
@universodc1 Not sure about the comic. The script is going to SyFy next week!— Andrew Kreisberg (@AJKreisberg) May 28, 2013
Only a few tidbits of information are available about the long awaited project. We know it stars Booster, Skeets, Trixie and Dirk Davis, which suggests it will draw on more characters from the first series of comics published in the 1980s. It will also feature his twin sister Michelle and Rip Hunter.
Of course, there's no guarantee Syfy will commission the pilot or a series, but with the success of Arrow and the public's current insatiable appetite for superheros, I wouldn't be surprised if we hear more about this series soon.
What do you think? Are you glad even more superheros are moving out of the comics, or is it all starting to get a bit silly? Let me know below.
