To avoid fainting, keep repeating 'It's only a movie...It's only a movie...'
Jancy Richardson

has been a little bit naughty of late. Now, nobody's saying that he's fibbing, but given his reply to a fan asking if he'll be back as Ash for Army of Darkness 2 - 'Alright, sir, the answer is yes' - the world can be forgiven for thinking he'd be involved.

However, in a recent interview with Erin Darling for The Pop Fix (at Comikaze, L.A.), Bruce shot those rumors through the face with his boomstick.

It's not news. Let me dispel that right now. It's all Internet B.S., there's no reality whatsoever. These random comments slip out of my mouth or Sam Raimi's mouth, next thing you know, we're making a sequel.

Well, that seems fairly final, then. Bruce Campbell also offered some valuable advice for avoiding future confusion regarding conflicting information from the internet (or, y'know, Bruce Campbell). According to the guy with the chin, you should only believe a film is getting made if you can find:

  • Confirmation from the studio
  • A start date
  • A release date
  • So, I guess Army of Darkness 2 is not happening? Excuse me while I go and sob quietly into my horror movie DVDs. What are your thoughts on this travesty of disappointment?
