Everyone loves a good villain, and David Morrissey's Governor is one of the most detestable villains ever, making The Walking Dead almost unbearable at times.

During the season finale, we saw the Governor getting sliced up by Michonne, then shot in the head. Or did we...?

In an interview, had a cheeky smile on his face when he dropped a few confusing little tidbits about what's to come for The Walking Dead, and for the Governor:

Something happened to him. I feel like a shady politician where I can't confirm and I can't deny anything. Certainly, bad things befell him at the end of the last episode but we just have to wait and see.

Hmmm. Well, I'm certainly not sad to see the back of the evil git, though David Morrissey's solid acting was a treat to watch. A Governor comeback is surely impossibe, as Walking Dead producer has avowed that the Governor is as dead as a doornail.

Any theories, guys? Maybe we'll see part of his zombified face hanging on a spike or something, or crawling along the ground using only his teeth for traction? I know it looked like he got shot in the head, but maybe it missed his brain? The Governor always was pretty hard-headed...

The Walking Dead is back on AMC February 9, 2014.
