The Cannes Film Festival came to a close on Sunday, thus ending ten days of fabulous films, Hollywood royalty and the odd cinematic controversy. 's Blue is the Warmest Color walked away with the Palm d'Or, but there was also award recognition for an American film, with the and 's Inside Llewyn Davis taking home the Grand Prix.

Here's the synopsis for the movie:

Inside Llewyn Davies follows a week in the life of a young folk singer as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961. Guitar in tow, huddled against the unforgiving New York winter, he is struggling to make it as a musician against seemingly insurmountable obstacles — some of them of his own making.

Starring , and , the movie has already garnered a lot of love from the critics, and we'll be able to check it out for ourselves when it lands in theaters December 6th.
