True Blood thesp Carrie Preston, better known as Merlotte's waitress and four-time divorcee Arlene Fowler on the HBO show, has indicated that (quite aside from Stephen Moyer stepping behind the camera to direct the season premiere of the show's final run) Season 7 of the show is going to be a "thrilling ride".

The premiere episode of True Blood Season 7 is called "Jesus Gonna be Here" and will be directed by Moyer, who plays Bill Compton on the show. Although we don't yet know much about Season 7, I'm expecting to see Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) pop up again, as well as some new faces. Whatever happens, I'm pretty sure we can rest assured that Preston's enticing words won't be far off the mark. Excited?

True Blood's final season is due to air on HBO in June 2014.
