One of the more underrated aspects of writer-director-producer-box office god 's game is the level of talent he's able to attract to his casts. There are no C-listers on his films, no pretty men or women who can't really act but sure do look nice on screen. He has the luxury of being able to cast only big names or remarkably talented artists in supporting roles, and that's one of the reasons his movies have been able to strike a balance between the cerebral and the financially lucrative.
Upcoming sci-fi film Interstellar, Nolan's first return to original material in quite a few years, is looking to do more of the same. The already-stacked cast of the film just got more talented, with The Playlist breaking the news via Elle that critically-lauded actor is on board. The actor confirmed as much to Elle in an interview, saying
I've got a movie coming out at Thanksgiving called 'Out Of The Furnace,' and I'm going to work on a Chris Nolan movie in the fall.
Affleck joins a talent-laden cast that already includes Nolan alums and , along with leading man , and . With that cast, and a script penned by brilliant brother, (Memento, The Prestige, first two Dark Knight films), expect this one to arrive in theaters with an already solid fanbase and tons of hype.
