E! News have reported that Hunnam was recently at the 2nd annual 'Hogs for Heart' event for 'One Heart Source Education Programs in Africa' in Burbank, California where Hunnam revealed:
I have had some family stuff going on so just trying to stay focused and stay positive and keep trying to do a good job at work and be with my family and stay positive.
E! News also confirmed that Charlie's father, Billy, had sadly passed away in May, so the actor has been spending some precious time with his family and friends in England as well as completing season six of the FX series.
It's obviously going to be a really emotional time for us. We are like a family and have become very, very close and become dear friends to each other so it's going to be sad and finish up and say goodbye to everyone, but we've got like 13, maybe even a few more, episodes.
E! News stated that the fundraiser, raised a staggering total of $90,000, which was largely thanks to the help of Charlie and co.
So whilst Charlie Hunnam's decision to drop the role as Christian Grey came as a great disappointment to many 'Fifty Shades' devotees, he has proven that he is not just a pretty face, but a charming and charitable one at that. Good old Charlie.
Are you disappointed that Charlie will not play Christian Grey?
