Horror fans and gamers alike should be stoked about survival horror game Outlast. The game, recently released on Steam, was created by new indie developer out of Quebec, Red Barrels Studios, and...it's awesome. And scary as hell.

Veteran horror gamer Adam Dodd reviewed and played the game over at Bloody Disgusting, and he decided to go further than his initial review and record the first 25 minutes of game play for fans. The result? Terrifying.

The graphics are stunning, no? The brains behind Red Barrels Studios are comprised of some of the same minds behind Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, and Splinter Cell, so this game comes with not only an excellent premise, but a bona fide pedigree.

And if you missed the much briefer review, it's worth it for the phrase "shit out your spine scary moments":

Awesome. Looks like I'll be buying this, and you can, too, if you click here.

What's the scariest horror game of all time? Resident Evil 4? Doom 3? Any of the Silent Hill games? Or an indie game others may not know about? Let me know in the comments.
