Marvel fans, it's time to butter your sandwiches, empty the cupboard of snacks and assemble the kids — because the all-new Marvel Universe Live! is back in town! The live-action show tears through the pages of imagination into an arena spectacular that for once has parents pleading with their kids, "Can you just do your homework tomorrow instead?"
Welcome To The Age Of Arena Heroes
Forget (well, delay. No, do both!) watching your favorite Marvel characters come to life on the #MCU big screen — legendary battles are now taking center stage. The official Marvel Universe Live! website describes the experience as:
Prepare for an action-packed, legendary battle to defend the universe from evil. Spider-Man, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy join forces with Doctor Strange, master of the mystic arts, in a race against time to recover the Wand of Watoomb before it falls into Loki’s hands.
Following the success of its Broadway production Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which ran from 2011–2014, Feld Entertainment have once again worked with Marvel Entertainment to conceive a completely new narrative designed to maximize the stadium experience for fans young and old.
There Are More Than 25 Marvel Characters
You'll be happy to know that there is a huge cast of #Marvel characters included in the show to bring you all of the high-energy choreographed stunts, motorcycle tricks and aerial maneuvers you could imagine. In just two action-packed hours, you will see many familiar Marvel faces in the lineup, including:
- Black Widow
- Doctor Strange
- Green Goblin
- Iron Fist
Feld Entertainment is highly experienced at producing live arena spectaculars, with some of its past events including big names like Disney on Ice, Monster Jam, Monster Energy Supercross and Sesame Street Live.
For #MarvelUniverseLive, Feld Entertainment COO Juliette Feld assures us they have gone the extra mile.
We transport you through the story from outer space to the Savage Land to New York City and beyond with vast video projection. We also made advances in technology and character special effects, allowing us to transform Bruce Banner into the Hulk right before your eyes, levitate Doctor Strange, throw Spider-Man’s webs and more.
With elaborate set designs and innovative performance techniques, the cast of the Marvel superheroes and villains is set to come alive with aerialists, acrobats and motorcycle riders performing superhuman feats of adversarial action.
You Had Me At Marvel
The show has kicked off in Los Angeles, so I would suggest having a chat with your kids now to reschedule their chores. If you want to find out more about the event, check out the Marvel Universe Live! ticket information section on the official website and plan yourselves a great day out.
