Yesterday I was lamenting the fact that we've yet to see a whole lot from the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Sure, we've got a trailer and a few close-ups of Caeser, but I wanted to see something a bit more substantive. Luckily, my ape based dreams have been answered.

Today, Fox have unshackled a new Dawn of the Planet of the Apes website which offers an 'interactive' look at the post-human world created by our chimply overlords.

Among others, the website lets you explore the Ape encampment, the ruined streets of San Francisco and the CDC compound — perhaps humanity's last bastion against the apes. Check out some pictures below:

The website certainly does a nice job of showing how the world has progressed after the events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The Simian Flu — a virus which kills 90% of those infected — has reduced the human population drastically, while the Apes seem to have mastered fire, art and perhaps basic language.

In the first movie, it was clearly humans who were the major dicks in the equation, it'll be interesting to see if Dawn of the Planet of the apes will start to frame the apes as the bad guys?

What do you think? Whose side are you on in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes? Let us know below.
