I've been waiting for Curse Of Chucky news ever since , the daughter of Child's Play's Chucky, , Instagrammed a photo of the new film's soundtrack. Now, writer and director has tweeted out a series of Curse of Chucky pictures from the set. The three pictures show the original Chucky design (no plastic wounds sewn up here), as well as Fiona Dourif interacting with him.

Check them out:

If you're anything like me, you're probably wondering why in the world 's Tiffany and their gender neutral child, Glen, are sitting this one out. Well, considering the design of the doll, I'm going to go ahead and assume that this Chucky story is going to take place before Bride even happened. If you check out the official synopsis, it looks like the team -- which consists producer (Hocus Pocus, An American Tail) and VFX by Tony Gardner (Zombieland) -- are looking to return to Chucky's horror roots.

I think a lot of people are going to immediately assume that this won't be a solid entry into the franchise because it's going straight to Blu-ray and DVD. Sure, it'll probably get the reboot treatment for the big screen in the next few years, but there's no denying that Macini has turned out original, hilarious concepts for the serial killer doll during each of his outings. I actually loved the direction they went in for the Jennifer Tilly installments, but I'm still ready to see where this one will take the story. As Chucky would say, "A true classic never goes out of style!"

In the film, Nica's (Fiona Dourif) mother has committed suicide. As she's grieving, her older sister, Barb (), returns home with her own family to help with their mother's arrangements and affairs. However, one of Barb's children befriends everyone's favorite ginger doll that's recently come in the mail. Naturally, a series of well executed and planned murders start to happen and Nica is the only one who suspects that the killer doll is responsible.
