The new adaptation of Stephen King's classic #horror novel It hasn't even reached the big screen yet, but it has already managed to stir up controversy, making quite the splash on the internet.
When the trailer dropped a few weeks back, it smashed records for being the most viewed trailer within 24 hours. With all this exposure, it was only a matter of time before someone tried to spoof the highly popular preview.
It - McDonald's Edition hit the internet less than a week ago and has already garnered close to one million views. The trailer puts the iconic fast-food clown Ronald McDonald in the place of #Pennywise, and it's a brilliant way to spoof the clown that everyone grew up with.

The video, uploaded to YouTube by RackaRacka, opens up with a little backstory about the clown before quickly jumping into familiar territory. With the clever use of music and editing, the spoof mimics portions of #StephenKingsIt trailer with spot-on precision, but also manages to throw in some original material for added hilarity.
Of course, the most talked-about moment in the It trailer is the scene with all the kids surrounding the slide show as it takes on a life of its own. The McDonald's version has a little fun with that by placing Ronald in the center of family photos, even throwing in a dab or two.
Quite possibly the scariest part of the It trailer comes at the very end when the clown jumps out of the water and attacks at full force. How freakin' terrifying! Well, the spoof pokes a little fun at that, too, allowing Ronald to get his revenge against good ol' Pennywise, reminding him that "there is only room for one clown in this city."
In case you may have already forgotten — but honestly, how could you? — below is the It trailer for comparison, which hits theaters everywhere on September 8. Sleep tight, kids!
