Chris Hemsworth seems like the perfect man in many ways. He's a terrific father, an amazing husband, his good looks are other-worldly, his biceps are thicker than the average human thigh, and he plays one of the most popular superheroes out there in the most profitable movie franchise in history.
You may think that such a specimen couldn't possibly be starstruck by anyone. Surprisingly enough however, he can.
Even stars of that caliber have their idols, and we just learned who is #ChrisHemsworth's. The actor recently sat down for an interview with ELLE Magazine, where he discussed his career and his home life. At one point, he was asked whether he'd ever felt intimidated by another man. He has, by none other than his #AvengersInfinityWar co-star Chris Pratt, a.k.a. Star-Lord:
"The first time I really met Chris Pratt—and went on set with him and the Guardians—I was weirdly shaken. I don't know why. He's just so charismatic. And good at what he does."
He has a point about the charisma. Despite his relatively short tenure in the spotlight, Pratt has proven to be one of the most likable and influential celebrities of this decade. Fortunately for Hemsworth, the feeling of admiration is mutual.
Peter Quill Feels The Same Way About You, Thor
Back in April, during a chat with Fandango while promoting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, #ChrisPratt was asked which Avenger intimidated him the most while filming Infinity War. Our real-life Star-Lord revealed it was Thor, particularly because of his innate ability to make him feel inferior:
"Chris Hemsworth, he's so tall and handsome –– I had to go home and really look myself in the mirror and say, you know, there's a possibility that you just might be one of those guys who mostly loves your wife but also kind of loves Chris Hemsworth a little bit too."
These comments make something pretty clear: The actors are friendship goals.
Pratt and Hemsworth will be starring together in Infinity War next year, and as we learned in the Comic-Con trailer, #Thor will hit it off with the Guardians from the very beginning. Fortunately for us, Pratt and Hemsworth's real-life friendship will translate into the movie, as Joe Russo told IGN their respective characters would come together to give Infinity War some much-needed levity among all the universe-ending destruction:
"You know what’s interesting is that because of the re-toning that Taika [Waititi] did with 'Thor 3' and the direction that Thor is set in as a character, he and Star-Lord were a very surprising combination and a very funny combination. So I’m excited for the audience to see the two of them together."
I couldn't be happier about this. Star-Lord and Thor will finally get to do battle together in Infinity War on May 4, 2018.
I want to hear from you now — Who's your celebrity crush? Let me know in the comments!
