When I was younger, all I wanted to do was go to Jurassic Park. I wasn't even put off by the no-doubt ridiculously expensive admission fees or the ferocious Velociraptors roaming the kitchens.

It seems like the younger versions of and I would have been good friends, as it turns out he was also a massive dino-nerd when the original released. Pratt has now essentially confirmed his involvement in 's Jurassic Park sequel/reboot in a new interview with PR Record Gazette. He explained:

For me, Jurassic Park was really kind of my Star Wars... I lined up at the theatre to see it, I saw it opening night, I saw every sequel, I’ve seen it a whole bunch of times… for me that was my big movie, I think I was 13 or 14 when it came out…And so it’s a big deal for me to be any part of that, let alone this part I’m going to be playing. I’m thrilled about it.

There's still little information about the casting for Jurassic World, so far all we know is that Chris Pratt will play someone called Owen — who is currently the only named character. Pratt will also be joined by , , and . I'm guessing the inclusion of a young actor like Simpkins means someone will be playing his parents? Perhaps this is Pratt's role? Maybe he'll battle a T-Rex while souped up in a paternal rage? I really hope so...

Anyway. What do you think? How do you feel about Jurassic Park being resurrected? Let me know in the comments below.
